Frequently Asked Questions
How I Work | CBT & Perinatal Counselling in Wishaw, Motherwell & Online UK
I work collaboratively, blending Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a compassionate, relational approach. Our work together includes practical tools for managing anxiety and overthinking with deep emotional support, helping you reconnect with your strength, self-compassion, and clarity.
But this isn’t just about tools and strategies. It’s also about warmth, connection, and honesty. You can expect a space that feels calm, safe, and real where you can talk about what’s actually going on, without needing to hold it all together.
Each session moves at your pace. Some days, we might work through practical coping techniques discussing ways to manage anxiety, regulate your emotions, or quiet that inner critic. Other days, we might simply sit with what’s hard, making space for feelings you’ve been pushing down for too long.
We’ll make sense of what’s happening, piece by piece - so you can begin to feel more grounded, more capable, and more connected to yourself again. I’m here when you’re ready – drop me a message and let’s start gently moving forward.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different. Some people find relief in as little as 6–12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. In your first sessions, we’ll discuss your goals and agree on a plan that feels right for you.
Do I need a GP referral for counselling or CBT?
No referral is needed. You can contact me directly to arrange a free consultation and start sessions whenever you’re ready.
How much does counselling cost?
My sessions are competitively priced, and I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions before committing. Fees
Where are the therapy spaces for face-to-face sessions?
I use comfortable therapy spaces in Wishaw and Motherwell, within easy access of Train stations and with free parking nearby. The Wishaw space is wheelchair-accessible.
Why are there images of nature all over the website?
I walk my dog in a local nature reserve where I feel peace. I wanted my branding to reflect the same vibe.
